Who is Mr boB?

Mr boB is the name by which I was originally referred to at one of the places I hangout. Since then many of the people I have met there just refer to me as boB (notice: I spell my name backward to prevent impostors from using my name to get me in trouble and to differentiate myself from the Bob that somehow seems to function during daylight hours. Or least that is how the story goes.) In some circles of my endeavor to personally evaluate all forms of New Orleans nightlife the name Mr. boB seems to have stuck. So what the hell! From this point I might as well trademark the name Mr. boB™ and prevent impostors from creating any sense of confusion.

So now when you hear the name Mr. boB^™ you know that it's me (my altered ego), and just not some impostor. Nevertheless, you can skip the formality and just call me boB... the Night Crawler.

Crawling the streets of New Orleans profiling Restaurants & Bars while in search of nocturnal pleasures is an arduous task... But someone has to do it...

Who is boB?

Well, in case you haven't figured it out, my name is really Bob but my real name is Robert. I was born in New Orleans and dragged to Long Island, New York kicking and screaming (at 17 I was just starting to learn about Bourbon Street and all of the fun places in New Orleans). After living on Long Island and many years of marriage I found myself single again and living back in New Orleans (actually Metairie). Faced with the unexpected reality of this situation I now needed to discover where to go and where to hangout. I soon realized that acquiring this knowledge was going to be extremely time consuming and expensive.

As the saying goes: "Necessity is the mother of invention". But desire is the father of all conceptual ideas... Now that I am single again and currently living in close proximity to the city of New Orleans I have set out on a personal quest to thoroughly evaluate New Orleans nightlife from an entirely different prospective. Since early February of 2004 I have been out and about almost every night exploring the heathenistic lifestyle for which New Orleans is notorious. I rationalize my carousing around and pursuit of nocturnal pleasures as a business venture and as such this website is dedicated to the publication of my personal opinions and the first-hand information I acquire.

To make this site useful for others I will attempt to publish information that is honest, fair, and objective. However it is necessary that you realize; I have no difficulty expressing my opinions based on that which I actually experience.
